Welcome to our mare page! Here is a list of our current breeding/riding mares as well as a small description of each. All of our mares are "land bred" meaning that their parents or great grandparents were born on Assateague Island while our mares themselves were born and raised in captivity. Each one of our mares is special to us and they are excellent representations of the Chincoteague breed. If you are interested in a foal from a particular mare, please contact us.

MCC's Susan's Duchess
Duchess is one of our newest Chincoteague Ponies. She joined our herd in the Fall of 2021. She was born in 2011 and is a solid bay mare that stands at roughly 14.1 hands tall. Her pedigree goes back to the famous "Misty of Chincoteague." She is very sweet and we are excited to start her under saddle next summer. |

MCC's Scottish Princess
Thistle is a rare solid perlino Chincoteague, there is only a handful with her color currently present in the breed. She has two blue eyes and very evident dapples year-round. She is the granddaughter of Liberty (who was full sister to our mare Hope) and her father is Pixie's full brother. We are very excited to have her join our herd and look forward to continuing her under saddle training! *Thistle and Cyclone are expecting a foal June of 2023! |

Rolling Bay Sugar Pixie
Pixie is one of the farm favorites, when I bought her, I was told that she was named after Marguerite Henry's dog "Pixie". Through the years she has competed at open shows and has had a very successful carrier in 4-H. She has been to the Minnesota State fair grounds for the Horse Expo and State 4-H horse shows. She is a showmanship machine and will perform patterns at liberty. She is a very social pony and loves to go places to meet new people. I am so incredibly blessed to have such a special pony and don't know what I would do without her! *Pixie and Cyclone are expecting a foal May 2023 |

Bryant's Farm Hope
Hope was one of our very first chincoteague ponies. We bought her and her full sister (Bryant's Farm Liberty) in the winter of 2009. She is one of my favorite ponies to ride. She has the sweetest face and her eyes will sparkle if you ask her to perform a trick or do anything that involves food. She is the most stunning bay I have ever seen and sports a jet black mane and tail. I have had the pleasure of competing with her in open shows, 4-H, and in a pony shows. |
